My First Thanksgiving

Today I experienced my first ever Thanksgiving. It was so much fun. I got passed around to everyone and was the center of attention. I got to spend time with my Grandma and Grandpa Bradshaw… they love me so much. Grandpa really gets a kick out of me. I got to see Uncle Chris and Aunt Sandy along with my cousins Cayse and Wyatt. They are so cute… I can’t wait until I can run around and play with them! Bet they will teach me a thing or two. I also got to see my great grandma Brownsberger plus a whole lot more family. I just wish Bubba would have been there… he was at his daddy’s house for Thanksgiving. Mommy and Daddy were sad he wasn’t with us.

I loved the food! Homemade applesauce, mashed potatoes, and my new all-time favorite pumpkin pie! I may never eat baby food again!

Later, I went over to Mima Debbie’s house and played with the Murphys. There were two black doggies there and they scared me a little bit. They are much more active than my Hoover! Now I think I need to go to sleep. I’m getting a bit cranky. It was a long day with lots of people and love.

Standing Alone

Today, Saturday, November 22, 2008, I stood unassisted for the first time! While playing with Holly, who loves to babysit me sometimes, I stood for about 15 seconds before I realized nobody was holding me. By the time my daddy got his video camera, I tried again but only lasted a few seconds. It’s so fun to do things when daddy doesn’t have the camera with him! It’s also hard to find those times, since it’s always nearby. But mommy, daddy, Holly and her fiance Steve all saw me! I’m growing up so fast!

Meeting Santa

Today was a fun day for me! I went to Oak Park Mall with mommy, daddy and buba (that’s Spencer to you!). Daddy stood in line with me by some really pretty Christmas stuff, then he sat me on some jolly old man’s lap. I didn’t know what to think at first so I just stared at this “Santa” guy. I didn’t cry though because he seemed really nice. Then some funny lady rang a bell so I looked over at her and smiled big because I saw a camera, just like the one daddy has. She took my picture! It was fun sitting on Santa’s lap. I’m told he’s going to bring me presents in just about a month… right before my birthday! But, mommy says, only if I quit eating Sophie’s food. Hmmm, decisions, decisions….
