My 2nd Christmas!

My second Christmas has now come and gone, and what a blast it was.  This was the first Christmas I got to spend with my new baby brother, Brody.  Thanks to Grandma Elledge, Brody and I had the cutest Christmas outfits!  On Christmas Eve, we went to First Family Church and sang lots of Christmas songs.  After that, we went home and ate some lasagna that mommy made.  Then, it was presents time!  I scored big time!  I got a baby doll with a changing table just like Brody’s and a stroller, too.  I also got an Elmo Live!  He is so funny and fun to play with.  I even got two Elmo videos.  One of them is teaching me it’s okay to potty in the big girl potty so I can get out of these diapers.  I got lots of pretty clothes, too.  One of my favorite toys is a vacuum cleaner, so I can help my mommy clean!  Oh, and Bubba got me some huge legos which I love having mommy and daddy set up so I can knock them down.  I got so many presents it’s hard for me to remember all of them.

Before I went to night night, I left some cookies and milk on the counter for Santa.  When I woke up on Christmas Day, the cookies and milk were gone, and under the tree was more presents for me!  I got a really cool Elmo table and chairs and a huge doll house!  I love all my presents and thank everyone for giving them to me.  Daddy says he is mad at Santa, though, because now I don’t like to go to sleep… I always want to play with my toys!

Anyway, this was the best Christmas yet!  I can’t wait until Santa comes back next year.  Merry Christmas to everyone!

What an Awesome Saturday!

Today has been one of my favorite Saturdays! First I got to help mommy get ready for a wedding shower for Holly, one of my favorite baby sitters and friends. Then, I got to take a real shower with mommy. After she took a shower, daddy did and I tried to take one with him, too, but I was already dressed so he didn’t think that was such a swell idea. Afterwards, mommy let me hang out with everyone who came to the shower and I got to help Holly open her presents! Next came a nice nap after daddy got home and gave me a big, pink teddy bear. It is so soft! He told me after my nap he had a big surprise for me. And he sure did! When I woke up and came downstairs, I saw my beautiful pink car! Mommy and daddy helped me drive it around the house, then we went outside and drove in the driveway. Daddy took some movies and pictures, so I am sure you’ll see them soon! Thankfully he didn’t take any pictures or movies of me when I threw my fit when I had to come in and leave my car in the garage. Oh well, so far this has been a really fun Saturday!

Spring Time!

I am so happy it’s spring time! The other day, I went outside with my mommy, daddy, Hoover and Bubba and walked in the grass with bare feet. That felt so weird. Then Bubba pushed me in my swing which was really fun. I hope the weather keeps getting nicer, because I love to go outside and get mad when mommy and daddy don’t let me. The other day it snowed a bunch and I couldn’t play outside. But maybe this weekend Bubba can push me again and let me go down the slide, too!

My First Birthday

I finally turned one year old on Friday! Mommy and daddy say it is really special for me to turn one. All I know is I got a lot of really neat presents. I have more toys than I know what to do with! Mommy thinks maybe I will stay out of her cupboards, but I will show her! I also got some really pretty clothes to wear, books to read, a star named after me and even a movie to watch. Daddy says I am spoiled… call it what you want, I think it’s great! Having Christmas and my birthday all in the last few weeks has been great! Too bad I have so long to wait until I get more presents. Oh well, these will keep me busy for quite awhile. Plus I know if I bat my big blues at daddy, I can get more. Thank you to all my family and friends who got me stuff and came to eat cake with me. I really loved my princess birthday cake, both the big one and the little one that I got to eat and play with all by myself. Sorry, daddy, for getting frosting all over you!

My First Christmas!

Boy did I get a good night sleep last night! Finally, because I have been so tired having had so much to do for the past week. I flew to Denver on the 19th with my mommy and daddy, and we rented a car and drove to Fort Collins and picked up my cousin Courtney who rode to Casper, Wyoming with us. We got to grandma and grandpa’s house where we spent almost a whole week. It was really fun, but there were so many people around that I didn’t sleep much because I didn’t want to miss out on a thing!

While in Casper, I got to spend time with a lot of my family that I never get to see, so it was so much fun! I played at Great-Grandma Hotshot’s house with all of her Christmas toys. They play music and I like to dance to it. I also like crawling around her house and exploring all the really fun stuff. I got stuck a few times! Daddy is going to put some pictures up on his website, maybe on mine, too. I loved seeing my great-grandma. She loves me so much and I love her, too!

I also got to see my Great-Grandpa Carlen. This funny guy just keeps kissing and loving on me. He gave me so many kisses this past week that I won’t know what to do without them. He is so lucky… he is going to spend a whole month in California. I haven’t ever been to California, but my mommy and daddy said we’ll go there sometime and go to Disney Land and see our family out there. I can’t wait!
